Making the Choice
Before you begin thinking about your project, it's good to start by thinking about yourself. Who you are. What you like. What you need. What you want. And perhaps most importantly what kind of feeling you want to evoke. We've defined four basic design styles that most people find they fit into. Actually, most customers are a mix of each with one style taking the lead. Browse through the choices to find out which describes you best.
Style Selector
Traditional
Your tastes hearken back to eras when Art Deco and Victorian influences were all the rage. You enjoy timeless classics that exude an old world charm and feature period stylings such as bronze accents and floral patterns that are usually more formal and detailed.
Contemporary
Your tastes favor sleek, smooth, pure lines. No carvings or special adornments for you. Your dream rooms are crafted, for the most part, from wood, metals, polymers and glass. Bold geometric shapes and splashes of color offset neutral tone-on-tone colorings.
Transitional
At heart, you like traditional designs, but prefer their elegant lines to be updated and blended with contemporary angular construction and edgy materials. Your mosaic tastes can be customized in myriad ways, easily mixing with almost any other style or piece.
Eclectic
You prefer mixing and matching old and new, brights and neutrals, pieces from home with those from around the world. You like surprises, enjoy whimsical decor, and furninshings that instill a lot of enthusiasm into a room.
